The Inaugural University of Derby Supported Internship symposium is fast approaching, providing an opportunity to directly hear from the current Project SEARCH Derby Interns.

The employment rate for individuals with learning disabilities in Derby stands at a mere 1.7%, indicating the urgent need for change. Supported Internships offer an effective approach to changing this narrative. However, unfortunately, they often go unnoticed, leaving many uninformed about their benefits.

Please help spread the word among your school contacts, learners with EHCPs (Education, Health, and Care Plans), businesses and anyone interested in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism in finding employment. Let’s work together and provide more clear opportunities from education to employment.
