SharePoint

SharePoint is the replacement for Perspective Lite. It is a web-based portal that allows document exchange.

It will be the place where you upload the schools budget and access the schools forecast or any other specific financial document to your school.

IT services across Derby City Council, have had our files migrated to SharePoint, with the advantage of sharing secure folders with a schools whereby only school’s finance team and individual schools will have secure access. The significant benefit to the change is that officers will be able to work on the file with the school, giving real time up dates without the need to upload and download information.

Schools should see to the new SharePoint folder, the files can be shared in the folder and once the information is confirmed or the edits/updates completed then files can be copied onto the school home file to be stored as per the document retention regulations.
