Welcome to Derby – Headteacher Induction Event
Friday 11th October 2024, 9:30am-11:30am
This is a fantastic opportunity for all headteachers (or equivalent) to meet with colleagues at Derby City Council (DCC) who provide support or a traded offer directly to schools. The event will be opened by Sharon Buckby, Director of Learning, Inclusion and Skills. She will introduce some of the many members of the DCC team who can provide services to you in school.
There will then be an opportunity for headteachers to meet with DCC staff informally, to find out more about what is on offer or discuss the school’s specific needs.
This event is aimed at headteachers who are new to role, or new to the city at schools, free schools and academies. However, we also know that many experienced heads have expressed an interest in joining this event and so all headteachers will be very welcome.
