There are two free online RSE networks for Derbyshire schools next month and they would like to extend an invitation for Derby City schools to attend on this occasion.
Free Primary RSE network on Tuesday 5th December 3.45- 5.15, with two fabulous speakers on prominent topics for RSE.
- Involving Parents and Carers in RSE - Lucy Emmerson Chief Executive of the Sex Education Forum.
This will support schools in responding to recent additional guidance from the Department of Education on sharing RSE resources with parents and carers.
- Teaching about bodily autonomy and boundaries - Richard Palmer from Chameleon PDE.
Responses to our RSE survey online indicate that this is a key area that primary pupils would like to learn more about (see attached infographic). The session will unpack the essential concepts and address how to tackle this sensitive topic in an age-appropriate way. Richard will share some of their award-winning resources to take away and use in your school.
