Derby Book Festival’s annual Meet the Author events are back and booking is open, but not for long.
This year we welcome Sophy Henn and SF Said!
Wednesday 5th June
Live at Derby Theatre
These are amazing events that inspire children and enrich your Literacy Curriculum. Our Meet the Author events allow you to bring eight children to Derby Theatre to meet an amazing author, hear them talk about their love of books, writing and illustration. The sessions are interactive, with each author inviting the children to be involved, as well as giving them the opportunity to ask questions. Books from the author will also be on sale and the authors will be available to sign books after their events. Included in the price is a live stream, allowing ALL children in your School to enjoy the event. Huge thanks goes out to our Sponsor for this event - Cosy Direct.

Sophy Henn - 9.30-10.30am Suitable for children in Year 2/3/4
SF Said - 1.15-2.15pm Suitable for children in Year 5/6/7
We hope that as many Schools from Derby and close by will join us for our events. We are always working to keep the events affordable and are offering each event at £40 this year. This includes the theatre experience and the live stream of the event for the whole School. *Travel arrangements to be organised by the School.
To book your place, please complete the booking form. Once we have all your details, we will send out an invoice and additional information.
