Derby’s Free Children’s Holiday Club Programme Returns

Derby City Council is working in partnership with Community Action Derby to bring back the successful Holiday Activity and Food Programme for 2023.

The HAF programme offers activities and food to children aged 5 to 16 who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals in Derby.

This Easter, the scheme continues to grow, with more organisations taking part in the scheme than ever before. There will be 31 providers offering a range of activities in all wards across the city, including seven special educational needs and disability (SEND) specialists.

The holiday clubs will offer the chance to try new and enriching activities including music production, drama and science experiments as well as sports and physical activities like football, rugby, basketball and street dance.
