Sticky Notes and Pens

We are delighted to share further details on the opportunities available for all schools across Derby through the Priority Literacy programme.

The Priority Literacy Universal Offer, is open to all state-funded primary, secondary and special/alternative provision schools within Derby and Nottingham. An overview of the opportunities available can be viewed here.

The following events will be taking place over the duration of the programme and we encourage all schools to get involved:

Communities of Practice

The Communities of Practice (COPs) will provide an opportunity to bring together teachers and leaders to network, explore evidence-based research and engage with practitioners supporting literacy.

We are excited to share the launch of the Communities of Practice Network events, taking place online, Monday 11th December, 15:45-4:30pm. Led by National Literacy Trust as well as input from Steven Camden aka Polarbear, this will be a fantastic start to the network. CLICK HERE for more information.

Primary Writing Moderation

We have a full range of opportunities for teachers to partake in Moderation and Exemplification of Standards. Working with Nottingham City Council, Derby City Council and the Lincolnshire Moderation Team, training and workshops are available for all year groups, from Pre-Key Stage through to Y6 including SEND.
