Nominations are open for the Derby Voluntary Sector Awards 2024!
Celebrate the volunteers, community champions, voluntary organisations and community groups that have made a difference to you and your community by nominating them for a Derby Voluntary Sector Award.
To make sure that as wide a range of organisations and people as possible are represented, this year there are 18 categories to choose from, including:
- Youth awards, with three age categories – 5-11 years, 12-17 years and 18-24 years, which recognises young people who have made an impact with their volunteering.
- Good Neighbour award, which celebrates a neighbour who goes the extra mile to help others.
- Community Leader award, which honours a volunteer who has shown dedication to their community by striving for a better future for all.
- Crisis Support award, which recognises an individual, group or organisation that supports people in poverty.
- Youth Work award, which acknowledges an individual, group or organisation that has made a significant impact to a young person or young people’s life.
- And many more!
Award winners will be invited to attend a glitzy award ceremony during Volunteers' Week in June 2024, where their achievements will be celebrated. All nominees will receive a certificate to thank them for their great work.
