All children are entitled to a well-planned successful transition. The Starting School Policy and Guidance document has been written to promote inclusion and support transition into first school placement for pre-school children with SEND. We hope this document will enable all schools, early years settings and professionals to know what to do to provide the best possible support for children who may require enhanced transition support.
