I'm pleased to share that the next workshop of the Ashden East Midlands Hub will take place on Thurs 16th January, 2-4pm via Zoom.

This workshop will be focusing on engaging schools on climate change - a topic Ashden has a lot of experience in, as our schools team deliver the popular Let's Go Zero campaign.
We've got a really practical session and speakers lined up including:
- Cindi Blunt & Jelly Moring, Let's Go Zero: Introducing the East Midlands Climate Action Advisors team, who can offer FREE hands-on, tailored sustainability advice for schools (and the local authorities supporting them) to help save money and decarbonise.
- Marc Tench, Leicester City Council: Hear how the City Council have supported Leicester schools with the assistance of Climate Action Advisors.
- Alex Jemison, ProVeg: Learn how ProVeg have partnered with council catering and sustainability teams to encourage schools to think about food and climate. ProVeg offer an educational programme which is free of charge to all schools.
- Sibel Yalmaz, Midlands Net Zero Hub: How the Net Zero Hub can support schools and local authorities to fund heat decarbonisation via the Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund and Low Carbon Skills Fund in 2025.
Please do share widely with colleagues. When you register, remember to add event to your calendar (which you can do by clicking the button in the Zoom confirmation email you receive upon registering).
We look forward to kicking off the new year with some school-based inspiration in January!
