Autism Education Trust (AET) Training
The Social Communication and Autism Team and the Early Years SEND Team Leader have a 3-year Early Years and Schools licence to deliver AET accredited training to schools and settings in Derby city.
Early Years training will be Making Sense of Autism (MSA) and Good Autism Practice (GAP). This will be delivered several times during the licence period.
Maintained nursery schools and schools will have the opportunity to become an Autism Advocate. Autism Advocates will receive free AET accredited training in Making Sense of Autism (MSA) and Good Autism Practice (GAP) with resources to train staff in their school and access to ongoing support from the central team. Autism Advocates will attend termly network meetings to access ongoing support and CPD during the year.
Training dates are emailed to settings and school SENCo's when they become available.
