What the service provides
The Council’s Document Management Centre (DMC) provide a daily courier service around the Derby area for the collection and distribution of mail, parcels and packages and small items of equipment and furniture, for example monitors, laptops and office chairs.
If required, items can be signed for at both collection and delivery points equivalent to a recorded delivery service.
Benefits for your school
Items can be collected and delivered, usually on the same day if collected before 2.00pm.
Savings can be made on alternative methods for example Royal Mail or via a private courier company, as there is one price regardless of the weight of the item/s.
Cost to Derby City Schools and Academies
£8.02 per delivery within the Derby boundary. Individual quotes can be supplied up to a 10-mile radius from Derby city centre.
