British Cycling would like to offer you the opportunity to be a part of a Talent Identification Initiative we will be running in January next year.

As a Talent Development Pathway we are currently looking to identify more females who were born in 2007, 2008 or 2009 and who are showing sprint potential to fast track into our coaching programmes and racing. With the hope of some of them potentially moving through the pathway and following in the footsteps of Victoria Pendleton, Becky James, Emma Finucane and Katie Marchant who have been/are competing at the highest level of the sport at the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships.

We would like to bring some wattbikes to your school and conduct some short sprint tests with your students, along with delivering an assembly which serves as introduction to cycling and hopefully having some of our elite athletes attend and speak to your students. We ideally would be looking to test female students who are born in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

If you would be interested in this opportunity please get in touch with Chris Heaton:
