The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton was best-selling author Jacqueline Wilson's favourite book as a young child. Now, Jacqueline, creator of Hetty Feather and Tracy Beaker, has written an irresistible new story set in this glorious magical world, perfect for the next generation of young readers. Featuring the popular characters from the original books as well as fantastical new lands and a new group of modern-day children.

Three kids, Milo, Mia and Birdy, are on a countryside holiday when they wander into an Enchanted Wood. Among the whispering leaves, there is a beautiful tree that stands high above the rest. The Magic Faraway Tree is home to remarkable creatures including a fairy called Silky, her best friend Moonface and a host of extraordinary places, including the Land of Unicorns. But not every land is so much fun and danger looms in the Land of Dragons. Will Moonface's magic work in time to save the children?

Discover The Magic Faraway Tree and explore the amazing lands it can lead to!

There will be a book sale after the event and every book will include a printed signed bookplate from Jacqueline Wilson.

Lauren Child:

The award-winning author and illustrator and former Children’s Laureate, Lauren Child, creator of family favourites including Charlie and Lola, Hubert Horatio and Clarice Bean talks about her latest Clarice Bean novel Clarice Bean: SCRAM! with Fun Kids Radio’s Bex Lindsay.

Lauren will talk about and show how she creates her characters and her illustration using cutting out and collage techniques.

There will be a book sale after the event and Lauren will sign copies of her latest book, Clarice Bean: Scram, published by Harper Collins Children’s Books.
