Dear Derby City Council Schools’ Newsletter

Following our ‘Love in a Box’ Christmas Shoebox Appeal, the Rotary Club of Derby is joining again with the charity Teams4U in an appeal for essential items for people affected by the crisis in Ukraine. Teams4U have supported people living in poverty in Eastern Europe for many years and have trusted hauliers and local partners on the ground there, who know how to get items to where they are most needed.

I have attached a flyer explaining what is needed and how to support this appeal. We do hope that you will be able to give your support. As with the shoebox appeal, items can be delivered to our warehouse in Darley Abbey Mills, or members of the Rotary Club will come and collect them from you.

We shall also be running our Christmas Shoebox Appeal later in the year. Children in Eastern Europe will be even more in need of your shoeboxes containing gifts and we sincerely hope that your school will include this in this year’s plan for charity support.

With best wishes from us all at Teams4U and Rotary,

John Worthy
